Terms of Use

The rules for using this site, in plain English.

By using PAYG Calculator Australia (paygcalculator.au) you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

What this site provides

The site provides free calculators and general information about Australian PAYG tax, withholding and take-home pay. Figures are estimates produced from the tax rates and thresholds the ATO has published for the 2026-27 financial year, using the method described on the methodology page.

No advice

Nothing on this site is tax advice, financial advice or legal advice, and nothing here is prepared with your personal circumstances in mind. Using the site does not create any accountant-client or adviser relationship. Before acting on any figure, whether that is changing your withholding, varying an instalment or planning around a take-home amount, verify it with the Australian Taxation Office or a registered tax agent.

No warranty of accuracy

Care is taken to keep every rate traced to a published ATO source, and the methodology page sets out exactly how figures are produced and where the estimates stop. Even so, the site is provided as is. No warranty is given that any figure is accurate or complete, that it reflects your circumstances, or that the site is free of errors. Per-pay figures in particular are annualised approximations and can differ from ATO withholding schedules by a few dollars each pay.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the operator of this site is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the site or its figures. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Intellectual property

The content, design and code of this site belong to PAYG Calculator Australia. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes and link to any page. You may not republish, scrape or resell the site's content without written permission. The tax rates themselves are public information published by the ATO; these terms claim no ownership over them.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or use it in a way that interferes with other visitors.

Changes

The site and these terms can change without notice, including when tax rates change each 1 July. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
